Key Metrics Explained
Page Views
What it is:
- Number of times drivers viewed your location detail page
- Does NOT include search result impressions (coming soon)
- Counts unique sessions (one driver refreshing = one view)
Why it matters:
- High views = good search visibility
- Low views = need to optimize listing
Typical ranges:
- Urban DC fast charger: 100-500 views/month
- Suburban Level 2: 20-100 views/month
- Rural/remote: 10-50 views/month
- Highway rest stop: 200-1000 views/month
How to increase:
- Add more photos (aim for 5+)
- Complete all fields (name, hours, pricing, amenities)
- Get more reviews (encourage visitors to review)
- Respond to reviews (shows engagement)
- Keep information current (updated listings rank higher)
Review Count
What it is:
- Total number of reviews drivers have left
- Includes all ratings (1-5 stars)
- Updated in real-time
Why it matters:
- More reviews = higher search ranking
- Social proof (drivers trust locations with reviews)
- Indicates usage level
Good benchmarks:
- Established location: 10+ reviews
- New location: 3-5 reviews in first month
- High-traffic location: 20+ reviews
How to increase:
- Provide great service (quality equipment, clean facilities)
- Encourage reviews (signage at location, follow-up email)
- Respond to reviews (reviewers are more likely to review again)
- Fix issues mentioned in reviews
- Make reviewing easy (QR code at chargers β review page)
Average Rating
What it is:
- Average of all star ratings (1-5 scale)
- Weighted by recency (newer reviews matter slightly more)
- Displayed to 1 decimal (e.g., 4.3 stars)
Why it matters:
- Drivers filter by rating (many exclude below 3.5 stars)
- Search algorithm favors higher-rated locations
- Visible in search results (first impression)
Good benchmarks:
- Excellent: 4.5-5.0 stars
- Good: 4.0-4.4 stars
- Acceptable: 3.5-3.9 stars
- Needs improvement: Below 3.5 stars
How to improve:
- Address issues in negative reviews
- Keep equipment maintained and operational
- Ensure amenities match what's listed
- Respond professionally to all reviews
- Update listing to set accurate expectations

Common Questions
Q: How often do analytics update? A: Real-time for reviews and photos. Page views update every 15 minutes.
Q: Can I see who viewed my location? A: No, for privacy reasons. Only aggregate view counts.
Q: Why did my views spike last week? A: Possible causes: mentioned in article/social media, featured in search, local event, seasonal surge. Check review activity for clues.
Q: Do my own views count? A: No. Views from your logged-in account are filtered out.
Q: Can I compare my locations side-by-side? A: Not yet, but it's on our roadmap. For now, open multiple tabs or note metrics manually.
Q: What's a "good" page view count? A: Depends on location type and market. Urban fast chargers average 200-500/month. Rural Level 2 might be 20-50/month. Focus on trends, not absolute numbers.
Q: How do I increase my search ranking? A: Complete your listing (photos, amenities, details), get positive reviews, respond to reviews, and update regularly.
