How to Add Amenities

Step 1: Access Amenities Page

1. Go to Dashboard → Sites
2. Click on your location
3. Click "Amenities" tab (or button)
4. Or go directly to: /dashboard/sites/[id]/amenities

Step 2: Select Standard Amenities

Browse by category:

1. Expand category (e.g., "Facilities")
2. Check boxes for amenities you offer
3. Repeat for all categories
4. Selected amenities show with checkmarks

Tips:

• Only select amenities you actually offer
• Be honest - drivers will review based on expectations
• Update seasonally (e.g., outdoor seating in summer)

Step 3: Add Custom Amenities (Premium Only)

For unique features not in standard list:

1. Scroll to "Custom Amenities" section
2. Click "Add Custom Amenity" button
3. Enter amenity name (e.g., "Tesla lounge with espresso bar")
4. Select category (or "Other")
5. Add optional description
6. Click "Add"

Custom amenity limits:

• Free tier: No custom amenities
• Premium: Up to 5 custom amenities
• Premium Multi: Unlimited custom amenities

Good custom amenity examples:

• "Hotel lobby with workspace"
• "EV owner's lounge with refreshments"

Avoid generic/obvious:

Step 4: Save Changes

1. Review all selected amenities
2. Click "Save Amenities"
3. Changes take effect immediately
4. Visible to drivers in search/listing

How Drivers See Amenities

In search results:

• Amenity icons displayed below station name
• Top 4-5 most popular amenities shown
• "Show more" reveals full list

On location detail page:

• All amenities listed by category
• Icons for standard amenities
• Custom amenities in separate section
• Clear, scannable format

In filters:

• Drivers can filter locations by amenity
• Only locations with that amenity appear
• Multiple amenity filters combine (AND logic)

Example filter: "Show me charging stations with restrooms AND WiFi AND 24/7 access"

Best Practices

Be Accurate & Honest

✅ Do:

• Only list amenities that are truly available
• Update when amenities change
• Note restrictions (e.g., "Restrooms - business hours only")
• Remove amenities if no longer available

❌ Don't:

• List amenities that don't exist (drivers will notice)
• Exaggerate proximity (e.g., "restaurant nearby" = 2 blocks max)
• Include conditional amenities without noting conditions
• Forget to update after renovations/changes

Editing Amenities

To update amenities:

1. Dashboard → Sites → [Location] → Amenities
2. Check/uncheck standard amenities
3. Edit or delete custom amenities
4. Click "Save Changes"

Changes are immediate - no review required.

Removing Amenities

To remove standard amenity:

• Uncheck the box
• Click "Save Amenities"

To remove custom amenity:

1. Find amenity in Custom Amenities list
2. Click "Remove" (X icon)
3. Confirm deletion
4. Click "Save Amenities"

Seasonal Amenities

Consider seasonal updates:

• Keep only amenities available 12 months
