Which Account Should You Choose?

Choose Driver if:

  • You're an EV owner looking for charging stations
  • You want to save favorites and write reviews
  • You don't own or operate charging stations
  • You want a completely free experience

Choose Location Owner if:

  • You own, operate, or manage charging stations
  • You need to update station information
  • You want to respond to customer reviews
  • You need analytics on station performance
  • You want to claim multiple locations

Can You Have Both?

Yes - Location Owner accounts include all Driver features.

When you create a Location Owner account, you automatically get:

  • All driver features (favorites, reviews, history)
  • Plus owner features (claiming, responding, analytics)

You cannot have separate Driver and Owner accounts with the same email. If you start with a Driver account and later need owner features, you can upgrade to Location Owner in your account settings.

Upgrading from Driver to Owner

Already have a Driver account? Easy to upgrade:

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Click "Upgrade to Location Owner"
  3. Complete business information
  4. Choose subscription tier
  5. Start claiming locations

Your data is preserved:

  • Favorites remain saved
  • Review history stays intact
  • Account settings transfer over

Downgrading from Owner to Driver

Need to downgrade? You can switch back:

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Click "Switch to Driver Account"
  3. Confirm the change

What happens:

  • Claimed locations become unclaimed
  • Owner features are removed
  • Driver features remain active
  • No refund for current billing period

Multiple Users, One Station

If you have a team managing stations:

Option 1: Share one Owner account

  • Give team members login access
  • Everyone sees same dashboard
  • All actions logged to one account

Option 2: Create separate Owner accounts

  • Each team member has their own account
  • Claim same location from different accounts (requires support approval)
  • Better for accountability and permissions
