Lakeshore circuit · West Michigan
The west shore is Michigan’s beach coast: a string of harbor towns from South Haven up through Grand Haven, Muskegon, Ludington, and Manistee, each with its lighthouse, its dunes, and its summer crowd. US-31 stitches them together into a natural road-trip circuit.
That makes this region a mix of the two charging modes: DC fast along the US-31 corridor for moving between towns, and Level 2 at the beaches, marinas, and downtowns where a stop is never shorter than an afternoon.
When to go: Beach-season demand peaks July–August. Salmon runs and color season keep the northern harbors busy into October, when the chargers quiet down with the towns.
Purple pins have DC fast charging; green pins are Level 2. Tap a pin for the location page.
Overnight Level 2 at your lodging is the cheapest, easiest way to charge on a trip — arrive on whatever range you have, leave at 100%.
DC fast charging in and around the West Michigan lakeshore — for arrivals, departures, and day-trippers who aren’t staying overnight.

EV drivers plan trips around where they can charge — and a Level 2 charger costs a fraction of what most owners expect. If you already have one, claim your listing so drivers (and this page) can find it. Verified and Premium listings rank first in every section here.
