The Mariner North Resort
Copper Harbor, MI
Scenic coast · Upper Peninsula
The Keweenaw is the far tip of Upper Michigan: Copper Country mining history in Houghton, Hancock, and Calumet, then M-26 and Brockway Mountain Drive winding up Lake Superior’s shore to Copper Harbor — the highest scenic drive between the Rockies and the Alleghenies, and the ferry point for Isle Royale.
This is the most remote charging region in Michigan, and the playbook is strict: charge in Houghton before heading up the peninsula, treat Copper Harbor’s plugs as a bonus rather than a plan, and never pass a working charger you might want on the way back.
When to go: Fall color hits the Keweenaw first in the state — late September — and snow season runs long; M-26 to Copper Harbor is a summer-and-fall drive for most visitors.
Purple pins have DC fast charging; green pins are Level 2. Tap a pin for the location page.
Overnight Level 2 at your lodging is the cheapest, easiest way to charge on a trip — arrive on whatever range you have, leave at 100%.
DC fast charging in and around the Keweenaw — for arrivals, departures, and day-trippers who aren’t staying overnight.

EV drivers plan trips around where they can charge — and a Level 2 charger costs a fraction of what most owners expect. If you already have one, claim your listing so drivers (and this page) can find it. Verified and Premium listings rank first in every section here.
